What is a bargain?

A bargain can usually be found in the following cases:

  • When someone is experiencing financial problems and the quick sale of his house is the only solution. In a case like this we are even prepared to physically help the seller out with cash before the property is registered in our name.

  • When someone has already bought another home and the purchase of the new home is subject to the successful sale of the old home. Particularly when the transaction on the old home is not working out, the chances of picking up a bargain increase even more.

  • People who are in the process of getting a divorce sometimes lose perspective, and as their motivation is sometimes just to get rid of one another, they also end up getting rid of the house at a reduced price.

  • Emigration also sometimes offers outstanding opportunities for bargain-hunters. Fifty thousand rand converted to dollars is not that much when you are moving to America. So, to reduce the price by that amount won't make much difference in America, but it makes a lot of difference to your peace of mind to know you don't have any problems in South Africa anymore.
